What Are Booxi Standard SMS?

Booxi standard SMS are transactional SMS messages sent out to clients, attendees and personnel. Booxi standard SMS can be activated upon request and do not require any configuration or setup from you. For more information concerning Booxi standard SMS and its pricing, contact your Booxi representative.

It is possible to deactivate all Booxi standard SMS to send customized SMS from any marketing platform. Consult our Event API webhook article for more information.

"Can standard SMS be customized?"

Standard SMS cannot be customized. However, custom SMS messages can be sent directly to clients from the Back Office.

Client SMS Notifications (appointment)

This section lists all supported SMS notifications sent out to clients for bookings of type "Appointment" along with a corresponding SMS sample. Specific settings might be required to trigger some notifications.

Reminder

Sent when it is time to remind the client of their appointment.

Required Settings

The client opted to be notified by SMS at the time of booking. If the appointment was created by a staff member in a calendar, the option “Send SMS reminder” was selected.

Additional Reminder

Sent when it is time to remind the client of their appointment for a second time. The content of this SMS is the same as the first reminder.

Required Settings

The client opted to be notified by SMS at the time of booking. If the appointment was created by a staff member in a calendar, the option “Send SMS reminder” was selected.

Appointment Completed

Sent when an appointment is completed.

Required Settings

The following conditions must be met for this notification to be sent:

  • There is no email address assigned in the client record.

  • Enable automated thank you message” is enabled (see store booking rules).

Client SMS Notifications (group reservation)

Sent when it is time to remind the client of their group event.

Required Settings

The client opted to be notified by SMS at the time of booking. If the appointment was created by a staff member in a calendar, the option “Send SMS reminder” was selected.

Attendee SMS notifications (group reservation)

This section lists all supported SMS notifications sent to attendees for bookings of type "Group reservation", along with a corresponding SMS sample. Specific settings might be required to trigger some notifications.

There is an option on the Booking Widget and the Back Office to not send messages to attendees, preventing all transactional emails to be sent to them.

Client Custom Message

This notification is sent when a custom message is drafted using the “Notify Client” feature in the Back Office.

Client Custom Message

Sent to a client when a custom message is drafted using the “Notify Client” feature in the Back Office.

*Note: Both the SMS and the "Notify Client" features must be activated as part of your subscription; contact your Booxi representative to do so.

Daily Schedule Reminder

This notification contains a daily summary of all bookings associated with a staff member. If there are no bookings, no daily schedule will be sent.

Required Settings

The following conditions must be met for this notification to be sent:

  • The staff member has an associated phone number (see Personnel > Personnel details).

  • In the staff member's booking rules, “Receive a Daily Schedule Reminder” is set to “Send an SMS reminder”.

*Note: No daily schedule reminders are sent out on days with no business open hours even if bookings are planned for that day.

Notifications are not sent between 10 PM - 6 AM (store local time). Notifications scheduled during that interval will be postponed and sent out from 06:00 onwards.

*Note: due to local legislations, SMS messages cannot be delivered in the following countries:

  • Ghana

  • Morocco

  • Niger

  • Oman

  • Philippines

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Senegal

  • Singapore

  • Zimbabwe
