Multi-Service Online Booking

How clients can book multiple services at a time

Updated over a week ago

In the beauty industry, customers tend to book more than one service at a time. For example, they could book a pedicure followed by a manicure, or have multiple waxing services in the same visit.

This feature must be activated to be enabled; contact your Booxi representative for more information.

How clients book multiple services

Here's what the booking process will look like from the client's perspective:

  1. Client clicks "Book Now" to open the booking widget

  2. Client selects a service and their preferred personnel

  3. If the selected service can be combined (see below), a new option "Add another service" will appear below the selected service; the client clicks this button.

  4. Client will be redirected back to the service selection screen, where they will be presented with the eligible services (see section below for more info).

When adding services, clients won't be asked to select a staff member since any additional services will automatically be assigned to the staff member chosen for the first service.

5. Client selects a date and time.

6. The appointment review panel will list the selected services and the appointment duration which will match the sum of all service durations.

Notes and limitations

Certain restrictions apply when clients book multiple services at a time:

1) The first service chosen must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an “appointment” type service

  • Its price type must not be set to "Price per person" or "Price per hour" (see Service details)

  • Its online payment option (if applicable) must not be set to "Shopping cart" (see Service details)

  • Its time selection mode must not be set to "Ask client's availability"

2) If a staff member is chosen, they must have “Enable Online Booking” and “Show Availability Online” enabled.

3) All additional services chosen must be offered at the same location as the first service (see Service details).

*Exception: for multi-service booking, services offered by videoconference and by phone are considered the same location.

4) All chosen services must have “Show Availability Online” enabled.

5) A maximum number of 5 services can be booked at a time.

6) If the chosen services have different online payment methods, the method will be based on the following rules (in order of priority):

  • If one of the services is of type "At Online Booking", the payment will be processed through online booking.

  • If one of the services is of type "By email", the payment will be processed through email.

  • If one of the services is of type "Capture Card info”, the payment will be processed through the capture of the card info.

In other words, in case the chosen services have different payment options, the "At Online Booking" option will take precedence, followed by "By email", then "Capture Card info".

7) If the first chosen service has a resource assigned, all additional services must either have 1 resource in common with the first service or have no assigned resource at all.
