"I can't edit services."

If you can't edit services, it may be due to the following reasons:

  1. You do not have the necessary permissions. To edit services, you must have either Admin or Supervisor access. Your access role can be found in the "Personnel summary" section of a staff profile, as shown here:

  2. [Applies only to services created from Head Office templates] The service's store edit control setting is set to "Store cannot edit" or "Store can edit with limitations".

    1. If the service was created from the Head Office (i.e. from a service template), its edit permissions are determined by its "Store edit control" setting found in the Head Office. To access this setting, you must be a Head Office account user. Go to the Services tab > Service details > Store Edit Control.

  • If the setting is set to "Store cannot edit", the service cannot be edited.

  • If the setting is set to "Store can edit with limitations", Admins and Supervisors may edit service elements but not the service name, category, description and the survey; also, they cannot delete services.
