To make use of Booxi's invoices and receipts feature, you must first activate it.

To do so, go to “My Business” tab > Booking rules > "Enable invoices and receipts".

  • If you use more than one billing systems, use the “Prefix” field to easily differentiate invoices between your systems.

  • Enter a value in the "Starting receipt number" field; this will help track the number of invoices issued.

  • The "Invoice & receipt footer note” field allows you to add information to your receipt footer. For example, you can use it for your tax numbers, association number, practitioner number, etc. You can also indicate your payment policies.

With this feature, you're able to generate invoices from your bookings:

  1. In the Calendar tab, open an appointment, then click “New Invoice”

  2. This screen will appear.

  3. On the invoice page, you'll be able to edit the invoice information and add new lines if you want; the total will automatically adjust.

    1. You can search for existing services with the search bar

    2. If you no longer want a service to be presented as an option in your invoice list, simply click the "x" button shown below.

    3. On the right side, you’ll be able to select among the following payment options:

      1. Cash

      2. Debit Card

      3. Credit Card

      4. Other

  4. When you are ready, click “Pay Now”; this screen will then appear:

  • You can send the receipt by email to your client by clicking on the “Send by email” icon in the top right of the screen. The email receipt looks like this:

  • You can also print the receipt by clicking on the print icon in the top right of the screen.

  • A dollar sign will be added in the bottom right corner appointments that were paid.

You can find invoices and receipts in 2 ways:

  1. Client profile: Go to the Clients tab > {select a client} > “Invoices”
