Service booking survey

Add a question(s) or a custom booking survey to your service(s).

You can add a survey to your services to obtain information from your clients. To learn how to create surveys, watch this quick video tutorial:

To add a survey to a service, follow these steps:

  1. Go to "Services" tab > Service Details > Booking Survey

  2. Select the survey type

    1. Single question

    2. Simple Survey

Single question

For this survey type, simply enter a question. The client will be prompted to provide a text response.

Simple Survey

For this survey type, you may add multiple prompts of different types. The prompt types include:

  • Simple question (default)

  • Checkbox

  • Dropdown

  • Radio Group

  • Range

To add a prompt, click the icon shown below, then select an option:

  1. Simple question

    1. Simply type a question; clients enter a text value.

  2. Checkbox

    1. Simply add a “+” in front of the proposed answers. Clients can check any number of boxes.

  3. Dropdown

    1. Simply add a “-” in front of the proposed answers. Clients can only select 1 option.

  4. Radio Group

    1. Simply add a “#” in front of the proposed answers. Clients can only select 1 option.

  5. Range

    1. Simply add brackets with a number range as shown below. Clients enter a number value.

If you have multiple languages configured on your Booxi account, don't forget to add relevant translation(s) by clicking the globe icon shown below:

To mark a question as mandatory, add an asterisk (*) at the beginning of the question.

How to access client survey answers

You can view client survey answers by opening the appointment or group event in the Calendar tab and clicking "Edit survey" as shown below:

Clients will be prompted to fill out the survey during the booking process (i.e. BEFORE the service is provided); if you are using an external survey, a link to that survey will be included in the booking confirmation email. If you want to use a survey to obtain feedback AFTER the service is provided, you can either:

  1. Make it clear in your service description that your clients should fill out the survey after the service.

  2. Include a link to an (external) survey in your automated thank you message. For more info, see here.
