How to create, duplicate and delete personnel profiles

How to create a personnel profile

  • Go to the "Personnel" tab

  • Click the "Add a new personnel" option, as shown below:

  • Enter the person's first and last name.

  • Then select a Personnel Type.

In Booxi, there are 2 types of personnel: "Personnel with calendar" and "User without calendar":

  • Personnel with calendar”: staff members that can be booked for services.

  • User without calendar": staff members that do not provide services (usually management personnel); these users have no associated schedule and do not appear in the calendar, the booking widget or your Booxi page.

*Note: Once you've created a personnel profile, you won't be able to change its personnel type; if you want to change it, you'll need to delete the profile and create a new one.

Personnel profiles will be displayed in the list shown below, separated by personnel type:

After having created your personnel profile, consider whether to invite this person to join Booxi as a user. Joining Booxi as a user means that this person will have access to their own Booxi account (you can determine their access level). This will be necessary if the person is meant to perform business operations (e.g. manage appointments and schedules). If the person is only meant to be scheduled for services, ignore this step. How to duplicate a personnel profile

To save time, you can quickly create a personnel profile by duplicating the profile of an existing staff member.

To do so, follow these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the "Personnel" tab

  2. Check the box of the staff member you want to duplicate

  3. Click the options [⋮] button

  4. Click "Duplicate Personnel"

Duplicated personnel will contain "COPY" in their name (e.g. "COPY - Taylor Danfirth") to distinguish them from the original staff member.

All information will be copied over to the new staff profile, including any assigned template (if applicable). Duplicated staff will be listed as offline by default.

How to delete a personnel profile

1- In the "Personnel tab", select a staff member by checking the box next to their name

2- Click the options, then select "Delete Personnel" as shown below:

3- Confirm your action by clicking "Delete".

*Important: when you delete a personnel profile, their assigned appointments will no longer be editable (in other words, you won't be able to reassign them). If the assignment of their appointments matter, ensure to reassign them before you delete their profile. If you want to prevent this person from accessing Booxi while you are reassigning their appointments, you can block them.
